The Sanctuary Charity Classic

The Charitable Foundation of the Islands, in partnership with the Sanctuary Golf Club, invites you to participate in this annual golf event on January 27, 2018. Proceeds will support our mission to promote philanthropy and help people in need on Sanibel and Captiva.

Welcome to our Barrier Islands.

Our mission is to promote philanthropy to help people in need on Sanibel and Captiva, and to strengthen our non-profit organizations that will build a spirit of community for generations to come — through distribution of annually raised funds and stewardship of permanently endowed funds.

Since 2000, CFI and its predecessor have distributed millions in grants and scholarships to those in need.

How Can You Help?

Our vision is to strengthen the quality of life for those who live or work on Sanibel and Captiva. To do so, we provide grants to organizations that positively impact the health, well being, and education of our communities.

Specifically, we help non-profits build stronger organizations through a variety of means that enable them to increase their capacity to serve — via staff development, strategic planning, marketing, social media, technology, and much more.

About Those You Will Help

Where there's a problem, there's a solution. Where there's a need, there's a fulfillment. Where there's a hope, there's a realization. Where there's a hand, there's another hand to reach out, lift up or otherwise embrace. That's why Charitable Foundation of the Islands exists and excels.

Here are some examples of actions speaking louder than words. We hope you'll find our vision and mission an inspiration, and that you'll be inspired to join us with your time, talent, and treasures.

If You Need Help, Find it Here

The Charitable Foundation of the Islands is here to help our entire community — whether you're a non-profit organization or an individual family.

You may find this assistance via F.I.S.H. (Friends in Service Here) or Community Housing and Resources, both of which receive significant grants from our organization.

We are community. We are family. We are here to support each other, and to help make a better commuinty and build better lives for each other.
