ISLAND LEADERSHIP
CFI aims to identify and nurture the next generation of Island Leaders. The Leadership Sanibel-Captiva Program is one such initiative launching each January. Learn more 2025 Leadership Brochure. COLLABORATION
Strengthening the nonprofit sector is at the forefront of our collaboration efforts. CFI also engages and coordinates coalitions and cross-sector collaborations to identify community solutions. Examples of our work include Economic Revitalization, Positive Aging Initiative and 100+ Women Who Care.

Sanibel Recovery Dashboard Released
Students and faculty from The Ain Technology and Design Hub at FGCU’s Daveler-Kaunaui School of Entrepreneurship visited Sanibel to support recovery efforts following Hurricane Ian. They visited local business owners and City of Sanibel officials to get a first-hand perspective on the community. Hosted by Sanibel Solutions, the Charitable Foundation of the Islands (CFI) and the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce, the group is contributing to the creation of the Sanibel Recovery Dashboard—a tool designed to track progress and guide decision-making.
