Leadership Sanibel-Captiva
Leadership Sanibel-Captiva is a multi-month program connecting current and emerging island leaders with the people, organizations, and issues shaping the future of Sanibel and Captiva. Through immersive session days, participants gain behind-the-scenes access to local government, the environment, arts, business, healthcare, and more—while building lasting relationships with fellow community leaders.
Since launching in 2021, more than 48 individuals have completed the program, with nearly 80% of alumni now serving on island boards and civic committees.
The Class of 2027 begins in January 2027, with a Leadership Meet & Greet in December 2026. The program is open to business professionals, volunteers, residents, and entrepreneurs who want to deepen their involvement in island life. Nonprofit staff are not eligible at this time.
Tuition is $1,750 and includes all program materials, meals, transportation, and excursions throughout the program.
